Decoy, that is so unfair talking like that....

To you the mod may be dead, but as you are obviously not aware, lots of people still play the mod.....Even if the Halo lobby stops working, people will still set-up games in the new SDTM forun, and use the direct ip access instead...Halo 1 will still be around for a while yet.

As for the comments about the new SDTM forum that has been created, Stop being nasty. The forum will last as long as it lasts, and not a second less..

Whether or not it lasts 6 months, a year ore 20 years.....It does not matter. At least someone is giving it a red hot go, and trying to provide another place for us to all hang out and keep in touch.

Saying that it will fail is just nasty and totally uncalled for.....I too say #STFU2# #cookoo#

Sadly enough, slingshot, i kind of see where hes coming from on this...

The original people that got this mod going dont really play anymore, and thats when it was fun. During the past few months, I have not played halo because I go into my server, and theres a noobfest, a guy cussing his head off, a tk'er, a guy afk, i mean come on, all the respectable players are gone. I remember when my server was full of people like Hood, Cutter, and all people that I could say i saw in my server very often, and now, I just cant stand it.

I would, however, be willing to host a goodbye skelito game...maybe stick halo in the tray one last time...for good times sake...passworded so only the respectable people can enter, and leave it up for 24 hours...

The server shut down because the computer blew up. Kinda hard to support the mod without a place to play it huh! Thats why the forum is closing also.

As far as Halo being dead....think again! Besides the STUPID AFK players, it sure seems game play is much better these days. All the bozo's have filtered into other games.

This may seems weird coming from me, but Halo is best played the way it was designed to be played. 16 players working as teams to go after the objective.

Halo 1 would have died if Halo 2 was released for windows XP. All I see now is the good servers getting better and the bad servers going away.

Is the mod dead? Well sad to say for me it is. Everything is backup'd on a pretty gold CD. Server may be gone, forum will be gone, but the memories of all the good times are forever!

I remember way back when, when a friend of mine told me about this awesome mod, and I got into it a lot. It inspired me to mod Halo/make CE maps myself and learn the ways of 3ds max. Now I'm a 3d enthusiast. It's sad to see this die

Is it dieing / dead? Maybe for you but to me it hasn't yet Decoy. There are quite a few regular players in my server. So seeing it is dead to you, we may as well just throw it all in and call it the end of it because you said so.

And...I agree with Sam on this one....there are a lot more respectable players out there, you just need to take a look. Theres a new generation of SDTM players coming in, there ae more and more clans everyday that are SDTM related. I know quite a few people that I play with everyday that are respectable. You just look at it from a host's point of view Aero, yea people go afk,yea there are aimbotters, yea people cuss, but there going to do it regardless if you pout about it and stop your servers. Don't close down the servers just because a few select noobs decide to cheat or go afk. If you close the servers then your just saying this mod is dead, but it isn't, if you can't see that from the response this forum has made because of that then you really are blind.

Ive invested many hours into SDTM, and its seriouly lost the amount of fun it used to have, that does happen, over time, and because of noobs. But you cant expect a video game to last forever, especially since it was released several years ago.

That is why I am looking into getting new games going for the cs]. I find counter strike to be a great alternative, but i find that the biggest problem is actually getting people to get better PC's in order to play the game. That is why halo is popular, because it runs on PC's out of the box. Counter strike does have well over 18,000 servers, and there are alot of people that play in them. Halo hasnt seen that ever for the PC.

Im sure after 1000+ hours of dust2 I will get sick of css too

counter strike is dieing too, its somehow being killed by team fortress 2, even though the gameplay is completely different. Some places that hold lan tournaments are replacing css with tf2 aswell!

I just wanted to say thanks Skelito and everyone else who helped with the mods and the forum, you did an awesome job!

I haven't been around much but I come on at least once a day and see what people are doing, guess that's changing. This mod and forum was pretty much the reason I started playing Halo(haven't played in 4 months though ).

First off, I want to let you all know to pay no attention to what it written under my name. XD

Hah, uze, i take full responsibility for you getting mixed up with saleen, i introduced you to him on one of those until 2 AM skype calls.

Saleen, unfortunately, is still part of the gaming community, he thinks his clan is better because he has more members. Well. I hate to tell him, but my clan has some good people. They may not all be able to crush me in a game of shotties with no sheilds (Points at cs]Ketsui, cs]Grandpa, and cs]Web), but they are fun to talk to. Me and cs]Nuju used to talk 6+ hours a day. One day, he went up to Boston for a class and I went up there to meet him in person. (Nuju, I still don't remember why we didnt go to Hooters XD)

For those of you who don't know, I've been playing this mod since V1. I started hosting at V5. Here we are, 7 V's later, and it's all coming to an end.

I haven't been hosting because of the noise this computer gives off, but im getting a nice, quiet, water cooling kit.

I haven't played halo in several months, but i played for 2 hours in the past 2 days. Shotties no shields XD. Good times, good times.

You probably are asking yourself how I am in a halo clan when i haven't played in several months. Well. That's simple:

1. I am the Co-Leader and noone can touch me
2. The leader himself hasn't played in a while.
3. It's not about how active I am in halo, its the chance to get to know people.

But one day...you just wait...I'll be back to slaughter you all...

When I was in his clans...I killed everyone...even saleen...

I was so good he banned me 5 times from his server and each time gave me an excuse why..

Then basically I screwed my personal life up and ended up never being on halo for about 3 months...

Then I randomly appeared back in August/September-ish ....then I left again because of Halo 3....

Now I beat Halo 3 and I am trying to buy GoW again since I broke my other one because I played it to death..


So when I get a chance to calm down I will be back to HaloPC and HCE to rape all of you again ;D
