Those Images are cool, Oh and Hood you did a good job on the Sniper Dream Team tutorial  . I still keep wondering who sings that song. I totally forgot the name of the band.lol do you know who it is?  |

You really need the skins Hood.... Hood has a Mac....so the skins might not work........... Or do they? |

yeah skins work on macs read in it says skins for pc/mac

never tried installing the skins. Skelito your MC didn't look much different than mine, except he was holding a skill in an odd way... (oh, and he wasn't as detailed, hehe)
Apparently my card is TOO fast, since when I take a screenshot at 1680x1050, several frames take place during the time that the computer is snapping the shot. Hence, heavy-action shots come out all screwy since the top third is one frame, the second third another, and the bottom third another still. Maybe if I don't have the Mac OS save them as lossless PNG's it'll speed it up, not sure.

(oh, and he wasn't as detailed, hehe) When I go play CE, my first thoughts about MC are EWWW! He is so dull and bland looking. Oh there is a huge difference! Give the skins a try, you can always go back! As far as quality, I'm only running at 1024x768 and mostly use fraps for screenshots. Not the best for taking high quality pics. |

Mabye I just haven't seen any screens that you're talking about. The MC in the pic you posted looks about normal, but not as detailed (guessing you didn't have model detail set to highest). Can you up a few samples?

The game only has so much detail by design. Whatever they put into this game, I see. (except the watery inviso effect) All a graphics card does is process this information. My Nividia 6600GT allows me to run the game at 1280x1024 all setting on high with about 120 fps.
Because I play on the server, my settings are on medium with everything turned off, except shadows. When I play CE, my settings are maxed out.
PNG files are hugh but heavy detail. At 1280x1024, the file is around 5 megs. When I hit the button, there is a moment where the game stops. Lag if you will, caused by saving the screenshot to hard drive.
Hood, the best thing for you to do is compare MC yourself. With that beefed up system you have now, you WILL notice a dif! Ask those who are using the shiny MC if they would go back.

I'm using the Shiny MC skin, and it looks 100% better that the original........the detail is awesome... This is just a sample Of what my 6600GT card can do......  And that was just 1024 x 768.....I'll have to get one at the resolution I run now..... (1280x1024) Here's another 1024x760 sample:  I'll try to get a few 1280x1024 samples soon... |
