How to change color of plasma grenade?

Does anybody know how to change the color of the plasma grenade when activated and the color of the explosion?

I've tried changing the color variables in the light tags and things like that but no luck so far. I'm using HMT 3.5 of course.

Any info is helpful.

I made them green once. But i did that by swapping things in HHT like swapped the glow for the overcharged plasma pistol glow and the explosion to the plasma cannon explosion and alot more (i dont remember it all).

If you want to make it any other colour then i think you need to edit the bitmaps.

Allright, I figured out how to skin the plasma grenade.


For everyone interested, you have to re-skin the "smoke c generic1", "smoke c generic2", "cloud c fire1", "cloud c fire2" DDS bitmap files.

I just used the replace color feature on Photoshop CS2. But you can also use the Hue/Saturation and Photo Filter effects.

My plasma grenades are now red.

BTW, the cloud c fire1 and cloud c fire2.dds files will change the color of the explosions for every Covenant weapon explosion. ie- Banshee Bomb and Plasma Cannon explosions.

It's also the Plasma Cannon.

In HMT, that's what it's called.

wow, this is really a noobish question(considering I've never used photoshop before), but where can I get photoshop for editing pics & stuff for the mac? I've always wanted to do skins and stuff.

Edit: BTW, does it require a ton of art talent?
