Well I noticed something when playing with Old Fart....uhm...x air. AOF, I'm not sure if you knew it was me or not yet...but the teams became really unfair, for WAY TO LONG! I didn't mind taking on 3 guys because I live for that, but a newbie would have left right away. Good idea to back down till the teams become even again.
Just a simple "someone go blue" or "teams" will do. Try to keep the teams even. Unless you know it's me, don't ruin my rush..... ;D
I don't know about you guys, but I need to get a feel for the game when I enter. Alot of times when the newbies are there, it's time to back off and just have alittle fun. Taken it easy on them and they just may come back, because they had fun.
On the other hand, when the big boys are playing, it's balls to the wall. Time to scare the snot out of HELL itself! You guys are Masters at this. If you turned up the heat, you would probably clear the server.
Does this make any sense?

#thumb# I've been kicking people a lot lately for switching teams. They usually come back and get the hint. I'll try giving the newbs a chance to feel the game out instead of crushing them.

To me a switcher is someone that makes the teams unfair. If it's 3v3, then someone quits and a player switches, thats just being a traiter.... I let it go but target him. ;D It's hard to lay back, but you can tell. I even let some of the newbs get a couple of good shots at me. Makes them feel good. This doesn't apply to, flying off a hill with the hog and squishing them. After they clean up their computer chair, I always get a WOW!.....LOL!

Griffin did you kick skymichael tonight? lol That was me. What I do is kick people when they switch teams to make it unfair. I don't care about 3v2, I find it a good challenge actually. I only lick the players who make it 4v2. When the players come back they usually ask who kicked them and why. I generally don't answer but someone usually tells them not to switch teams. This method has been working lately. They either don't return or they return and play nicely.

Because I didn't think in was him.

When I was in there, he was whining about A Dead Baby. A Dead Baby switched over to Blue team, but it was still 3 v 2 so I left him alone. Skymichael eventually switched teams, making it 4v2 so I kicked him. When he returned, I told him him to keep the teams even - which he did. When A Dead Baby made the teams unever, I kicked him too.

A Dead Baby is a pervert too. I have told skymichael not to switch before, OK.

Each and everyone one of you could easily take on 3 guys. If you are like me, you enjoy it. BUT, if you find yourself amongst 5 noobs, try putting the snip away for awhile. Practice your sneaky melee tactics. Go for the flag with just the RL and pistol.
I was playing against 5 newbies and quickly found out this was a bad thing. I walked into their base and melee'd 3 of them huddled in the corner. After that, I built up their esteem by letting them have some awesome kills on me. I put the snip away!
I guess I just want you all to be aware, that you have the power to make alot of players quit, without the use of rcon. The idea is to get players in, and keep them...

I've kicked alot of players after first settling in to the game. If they come back and do the same I kick em again. They either come back and settle down or don't come back at all. They get more of a warning if I'm playing undercover. i'll ask them to even teams ,stop messing around etc. If there really bad after I have warned them a number of times I kick them ....quit the game and come back as a different player. But you have got to show noobs the ropes and as Skel says you get the ooohh, aahhhhh and wtf when finally get that teleport that takes you to the top of the map. Duke

lol....
The other night when Duke, Vortx and myself were in the server, I was sneaking around and trying to be stealthy, and ended up coming around the corner to meet a red guy, zoomed in at someone, so I walked on up, put my pistol to his head and moved infront of his sights.......
Not only did I get a WTF??, but I scored the dream headshot....point blank, to the very front of his shiny visor. This noob started looking around heaps more after that...even played a good game..
Gotta love sneaking up like that....
I agree with you Skel, we really need to get the noobs interested in the game, and to do this, we need to allow ourselves to take a few to many licks......then after they get the feel for the game, open up and show them how it is done... ;D

Seems when I go on early in the morn is when I have to be one with the noobs. To be honest, it's harder for me to be bad then good.... ;D
I sat up on the red side base, with the pistol, getting head shot after headshot. I had to switch to the sniper, jump up and down, and miss alot before I got killed.
I noticed my team were camping spawners. So, I switched teams when I could, and let loose! It gave the blue noobs breathing room and made the game more fun! Even got them fired up enough for them to score.
Being aware of how the game is playing out sometimes can be more of a challenge then just going balls to the wall.

What I tend to do when facing a bunch of noobs is going for caps. I kill as many as I can on the way to the base and then try to make a break for it. This way I can show that you can, indeed, cap the flag under fire and I don't spend the whole game chasing newbies away.

Oh my! I got to eat my words here. Devilhammer started TK'ing me when I had the flag. I did cap, banned his ass, then for 5 minutes took it out on the poor red team. Had alot of killtaculars until I settled down. I can see how this would get your feathers ruffled. Oh golly geee....did I do that! I'm better now....
