Fart,
I just purchased and installed the GEFORCE 6600GT
It is 8x/4x AGP, 256meg DDR3.....
I can tell you for sure that IT ROCKS!!! ;D
I have no fog issues, and the invisibility is kinda different to what the Radeon cards produce.....
The GEFORCE 600GT is a damn fine card!

The power supply was an issue for me with the 6600gt. Had to put a new one in....LOL!
#2 is definitely better then #3. Don't worry about the 8x thing. It's backward compatible and not that big of a hit.
The fog is reduced in the modded maps. The fuzzy scope is gone with the skins.
Just find your price range and do your homework. Make comparisons on the net and read what users have to say about your choice. I had it narrowed downed to 2 cards, and those users reviews helped.
Take your time with this!
