Skel,
Would you allow me to change the visibility of the staff room from hidden to visible to "Staff Only"?I often log into the forum from work, but can never remember the staffroom address......
I have the nc] staff room set to be visible to Staff only and no one can see it unless they have the appropriate access level. Oh, there is also an nc] only board that non nc] members cannot see.....it works well....
No code is needed, only a few settings o be altered...
If you agree, I can get it done!

All I do is go to the main forum, select the general board and change the last bit to "=mods" That's my handy-dandy work-around.  |

I have a link from Skel that brings me straight to the Staff Room
and asks for the password to get in. Is that what you guys have
if not ill send it to you.

That's what I do too Duke. It's just when I have to reset my system that I have trouble.

I have the addy Duke....just that I have not got it at work.......and needed an easy way to get to the staffroom on the computer at work!
Griffins shortcut allows quick access to the staffroom password screen!

Hey as long as general public can not see it, fine with me. But because the way security is set up, I'm not sure what would happen. The lounge was visible at the start, but quickly found out this was a HUGE mistake. The way it is setup now, even if someone did find the link, they still couldn't get in.
What blows me away is.....we haven't changed the silly password I put in for the lounge. Geee you think I could have come up with a better one. Guess we are still testing to see if it works huh!

Well one way to look at it is that you picked the Staff well.....Only when Staff break the trust of the Admins does a password get changed.
This password was issued when Skel and I first started the Staffroom, and it was used to train me to do the job I now am doing....(This began not too long after Skel started this forum!).....so this password has stood for nearly 4 years I guess!
