The Forum

Ok guys it's time! Right now the first order of business is to take the slack off you guys. The only thing I can think of at the moment is to lock the forum up. No more posts, No more members, just a read only forum.

Staff will be the only ones that can do anything to the forum. The idea is to keep the information but cut out all the bull crap. I will be keeping the webhost for 1 more year, so the forum and site can stay.

This will all happen by the end of the week. I will make an announcement and posts will stop. No more members joining and poop to watch. I will slowly (very lol) start cleaning up the forum.

Soooooo! This leaves you guys with 2 options. You can fade into the sunset or just use the forum for clean up time. As long as proboards is here, this forum will be here. After a year, I will move as many files to a free server as I can.

The Server:
I'm also going to start phasing this out. Bringing it down slowly for awhile then pull the plug. August 1st seems to be a good day to do this.

Well Skell its been a blast............... same as Fart been great to be

associated with a great bunch of guys. I have looked at other

forums after nc] forum went into maintenance mode and there is

alot of crap out there both this and nc] forum set the standard

from what my experience has been. So well done. Hope you catch

us at Cougars forum where some of the good/ respected players

are slowly congregating.

Boy - I can't leave you guys alone for a week.

It's been a great haul with all of you guys. The friends, the comrades-in-arms, etc. Life certainly won't be the same without the special sauce in the sniper rifles and without the best playground to use them in.

I'm glad that CC is around so we can all keep in touch though. I'd miss my fellow Jedis too much.

Vortex - please keep the porch light on for me.

All good things do have to come to an end eventually.

Skelito, you have made a lot of people happy, a lot of people mad, and provided entertainment to a world stage.

You have shared this journey with all of us here, and I thank you for the opportunities that you have given us. Early on when it was just you and I running the forum, I learned one thing.....Kids of all locations around the world are all the very same. All impatient, all selfish and all needing a good slap in the mouth.

Three has been a lot of water under this bridge, and once you took the chance on Griffin and Cutter, later Vortex and Old Fart, we had the forum humming. Still had issues with some occasional trouble makers, but we as Staff worked bloody well together. We had each others backs, and provided a target for each other in the servers.

All of you served your time here with distinction. Every one of you were upstanding and never gave in under heavy pressure from the members. All of you made this forum the populous it has become. Duke is right when he talks about the standard that we set. I have been a part of many forums, and this one by far has outlasted and out classed all of them.

On the 30th June, I placed the nc] forum into maintenance mode, and have decided to give the nc] a well earned rest. At this point I'm not interested in re-opening the nc]....lets see what time brings.

The Cougars club has become our new hangout, where we all can get together and be the silly buggers we all are, and keep in touch. I'm loving the input there so far, and Cutter, that rig you are building looks great so far!.

Thanks guys, I truly think that there cannot be a better bunch of fellas to hang out with......

You know....I came late to this whole thing, but the fact that you guys invited me to join your staff was probably one of the highlights of my whole Halo gaming experience. (my son's were so stoked that they and their friends were calling me the Halo-cop, lol)
Anyway, it has been a lot of fun, I got to know a lot of people, and can safely say that I enjoyed being head-shot and butt-stroked by you guys.
Skelito-Thanks for taking a chance on me. Good luck in your endeavors. If you need anything...let me know.
Sling-After all the work you have done, you deserve a rest mate, take care. Hope your home-building goes well.
Fart-thanks for being as old as me, see you in your bike forum.

We'll, I have to go now before I get too emotional. Today is Independence Day, and I have to go ride herd on about 5,000 people celebrating in the park that we kicked the crap out of the British.

Update on the forum:

Ok, I locked registration (no new members) and I opened up the download section to the public. This means right now all we have to do is deal with the current members.

As soon as I can, the members list is going to be cut way down. I decided to do this more slowly instead of shock effect.

Anyways, help yourselves to forum clean up. Anything you feel that should go bye bye, make it disappear. (including members) After we turn off the lights, this is what the public will see after we are long gone.

Lets make it pretty .... haha!
