Hey, I think that since the forum's have grown so much...

we should up the "View the 'x' most recent posts" in the info center!!

Right now it's at 15, but I'd say up it to at least 30! With so many posts every day, user's like me want to be able to keep up on whats happening easier!

Good suggestion! Only one problem though. With all the graphics on this system, it might take a few days to load for slower connections and computers.

ya thats a good point there skelito, i agree with you.

ya with more for everyone to load it would go twice as slow as it does now, not saying its slow at all now. But when you add more to load it will slow down and give the server stress per-say.

It'll make then realise that Dial-Up is going out of fashion and it needs to be upgraded. Though I haven't heard many people on this forum who have dial up, one or two at the most. Which gives me an idea!

Yes, dial-up is pretty much a dead connection..
2 days ago at our New Years Eve party, we got on the subject of internet. Our friends said something about dial-up.. My mom goes, "Wait, whats dial-up?"... and we had dialup but a year ago.

For dial-up users, it would take less than 2 seconds to load every single sig on this page, and not everyone has a sig.

Maybe we should take a poll on internet connections to see how many active members are still using dialup.

Guys, you all forget something.....

You all live in areas that Broadband or better is widely available, and Dial-up is a source of embarrassment.

There are many areas that are a little too remote for Broadband or Cable, and dial-up is the ONLY way to get onto the internet. I know a dude that lives 200km from the nearest phone exchange, and he can only get dial-up, because of this.......

You all mostly come from built up areas that are pretty close to the Phone exchanges that service your areas. You all need to step back and think of the more remotely located people, unable to get high speed internet connections.... Not everyone is as lucky as you.

People who have the privilege of having all of the latest high speed internet, forget the little guys who are stuck out in the rural areas unable to get good high speed connections. Please stop with the ragging on Dial-up users.....

People who can only get a Dial-up connection are only too happy to have internet access at all.....Remember that guys and gals who are privileged and selfish!!

What happened to me was that we live way outside of town.. about 15 miles or so, and we could not get fast internet, only dial up.. It sucked bad.. I was at the point where I wanted to move, but I dont think I would ever want to live in town.. too peacefull out in the country.. Then our dial up got taken away for about 5 months.. Sucked alot.. Then a miracle came along and they put up a tower for wireless internet.. Which is like 500 kbps or so.. not sure..

My point is.. well slingshot basically said it.. but dont dis on dial up, because if you had dialup all your life, and you know how it feels, and wouldent be talkin on it, obviously youve never experienced dial-up... just give them a chance, lol.

No, I have experienced it. I experienced dial-up for the first nearly 12 years of my life.

I'm not trying to rag on dial-up user's thats not what this is for. The point of this thread was to suggest upping the "View the 'x' most recent posts" based on member count and daily usage of the forums.
