HoverSnap for Screenshots « Thread Started on 7/12/05 at 8:46am » I have been testing this program out to see how it works, it's called HoverSnap. Advantages: 1. You don't have to convert Halo's .tga files to .jpg 2. Smaller file size. 800x600 around 2 megs for Halo's internal screenshots. 100k or less for Hooversnap! 3. You can set it up to auto resize...say 640x480....for the forums.... [image] Disadvantages: You have to fire up the program before or during the game. Seems easier then converting files huh! EDIT: Just put a Shortcut to HoverSnap in your Startup folder, and it will startup automatically. Let me know what you guys think. It might help those that don't know how to convert and stuff like that. Here's a Link. *Note: Scroll down to the middle of the site. Screen Capture Program

Great Idea Old Fart.....
I added a quoted version of your Idea to Skels original post (I wanted you to take full credit for that idea)
I will remove this post after a few days, once you have read it!

I have a question, is it easier to take pics using HoverSnap. Or Should I stick with my Print Screen method? Just wondering

Easier, I'm not sure. The program you use to take pics? Well it's all up to personal preference...
In the Halo game, I use the Halo screenshot service (the one that the game provides). I then convert the pics to .jpg or .gif files........(reduces the size of the file, and it is ready to post!)
Out of the game, I thing Hoversnap would be easier, and less time consuming than the old printscreen process! Anyone else have a better Idea!?
But that is my me!

Oo, I love Hover Snap, but i uninstalled it a while back ago so i just use fraps. Point I use both, then use the best pic. And Slng with HoverSnap it can resize the pic automatically for you.

Hooversnaps is a program for those who want to "snap and upload!" If you have no idea how to take ingame pics, then download this program. It's a no brainer!
The best quality is Halo's pic system, but you will have to convert and edit. I'm currently using Fraps for all the ingame pics. Fraps quality is in between Hooversnaps and Halo's system!

I think I'll try Hoversnap. When using the Print Screen process you have to save your screenshots after you paste them, and then upload them. But then again, I sometimes like to edit my pics(for the tutorial and such).
I'll try it out #thumb#
