I am NOT trying to get a petition here. I'm simply trying to see what everyone thinks of the censorship control. For example:

the 'f' word= frack

the 'd' word= male dangly thing

the 'c' word= girl thingy

schmuck isnt censored :D

the 'p' word= girl thingy

Now that you got the point, I would to see of other members think that freedom of being foul is too limmited or too exsessive.

I personaly think that more words should be off the list. For instance, the 'f' word in England is like jerk in america. Bloody in England is their 'f' word.

Plus, I think that admins are too strict on the topic of "suggestive" themes. You know how many times my sig has been erased? lol

So lets see what other people think.

Words don't bother me too much, they can be used to show anger and aggression, or as an expression of "wow". But when using like 3 or more in one sentence immaturely *cough* can be a little immature and shouldn't be allowed.

That *bleeping* *bleep* *bleep* should be *bleeping* *bleeped* from all *bleeping* servers this *bleeping instant*, *bleep*.

Eh, a little exagerated but you get my point.

The word censor is there for one reason and one reason only.....To stop people using offensive language, that is deemed inappropriate to the forum.

It's up to the Admins of a forum to decide on what level of language is acceptable for the forum, and if the level allowed is not high enough for the person typing....well that is their problem. If it means that they have to use correct English to make a post, that is simply bad luck and a learning experience in one.

It just happens that Skelito wants a clean family friendly forum, and does not want to have heavy language used or implied here. Just think of it as a PG13 rated forum.

If it does not suit you, well........Bad Luck.

You are totally wrong.. The "F" word is used in exactly the same way as it is in the USA or where I live (Australia). In both places it is considered very offensive, and un-necessary. The word Jerk is used in a similar way here in Australia, as I believe in England.

AND

The word "Bloody" is not the English equivalent to the "F" word.... That word is more indigenous to Australia. It is a word that is pretty much accepted as a normal word here.

For example:

"I'm so bloody tired right now....."

"You bloody Beauty" (Translation.....Awesome.....but with more oomph)

"Did ya see the bloody car, it was really moving along....?"

The word Bloody is more of a filler (used to display excitement, surprise, elation or exuberance), than a swear word.

in my forum i have no censored words becouse if someone cusses badly i want to know
but i think with this many people you need em'

I personally think the censors should be changed to something aimed higher then the age of 5.

Well I voted "its fine the way it is now" Although I think more words should be uncensored, its just how I got brought up. New Yorkers are Rude....LOL!

And I agree (shocklingly) with Arb. Male dingly thing isnt really...literate, which is ironic, since admins and mods have such strong views on that.

not surprising, coming from two people banned (in part) for their foul language. Can't be blamed on New York, fortunately, I can vouch for that.

As for the censors, they do help us to tune out these foul mouths, good job!

As for them, I expect more whining will follow... (what else is new?)

Actually Hood ol' buddy, we weren't banned for swearing. I hardly swear on these forums as it is.

And I don't know about you, but I don't like to see "male dangly thing" in alot of post.
Which is why I suggested to change it. For the greater good.

No, now lets get back on topic.

As I've said CLEARLY before (some people fixated on attacking me didnt see that I gues...shame), I am NOT trying to change the way the forum works around here. I would LOVE to do that, but why watse my time? This poll was created for the SOLE purpose of seeing who agrees and sho doesnt agree, and based on the information that this poll contains, admins MAY or MAY NOT change the censorships.

Nuff said.
