I was just wondering about the usefulness of forum polls as a research tool regarding somewhat unimportant questions...
i voted 'not too likely' because that is my general attitude toward polls in general, generally.

Personally the idea of a poll section in this forum was not a wise decision I think. The history of this forum shows that most polls are useless in nature, and only serve to create extra work from the forum staff. I really hate the silly polls, and the stupid waste-of-space ideas they usually contain. Posted by bored children that want something to do, therefore think to themselves "Hey I know, I'll make a poll about who likes cake!" Polls should be for genuine useful means, and not for silly and thoughtless entertainment. There are quite a number of good polls, particularly the ones that are asking members for advice about something, and have a few options that they are thinking of......these type polls are good. Oh and FYI.... a carapace is the outer shell that enshrouds a prawn's head, a bit like a neck shield!
