Hey guys, I need some help with skins. What programs do I need besides HMT. Like a program that changes .dds to BMP and back. If there is any tutorials for this just post a link.

Oh Hell No! I was using this program until I made a huge discovery. It really screws up the old graphics look. The graphics look pixelated, really bad! It works fine with shader 2.0 (not sure about lower shaders) This is a WARNING about this program. It's ok for viewing .dds files, but don't save your work with it!! Just go get the DDS plugin for your paint program and you will do fine. Try it. Put the -useff command in your Halo shortcut, then view your skin.*Note: I'm using Paint Shop Pro 7.04 (for now)

Um... I just made some skins with that dxtbmp editor, it looks fine to me and I will post my pictures later whenever i get them uploaded.

When I used the program, they looked fine with the new graphics. Then I tried them with the -useff command and they were all washed out!
Post a pic with the -useff command in your shortcut. It might just be Paint Shop Pro??

well actually skelito i never put -useff command i just make a new dds file and inject it and go play with that new skin..

Just remember this!! If you come up with an AWESOME skin, it will look like doggie do on old graphics cards. Thats if you use this program.
Now this could just be me using an older Paint program. Do me a favor and take a screenshot of one of your skins with the -useff in your shortcut. I'm just curious.
See I spent a few hours on a skin, and had to start all over because of DXTbmp!
