cant find dedicated server name

well yesterday and today i was fideling with my stuff skel showed to me to get a dedicated server running and stuff but the problem is how long would it take for the server to actually appear on the gamespy masterserver because when i would open up a ded. server i could not find it at all.

There is an rcon command to make it public on Gamespy.

I believe it is sv_public yes or sv_public 1

i had to modify this post again but i actually wanted to say that i got my server to work but gotta make some small adjustments.
