New server but need help!

OK there is a server Snipers Dream Team Mod7.1 {Dante}. But whenever more then 4 people come everyone lags and the ping goes to over 2000. Any helpful hints?
PS. This is my freinds server not mine.

its the same thing we tell everyone who asks this question, whats his net connection upload and download speeds, what else does he do while running the server and what are his computer specs

This is what he said" i have high speed dsl, i only play halo while my server is up. If u need more info to figure it out tell me. That is hwat he said.

You only play halo while your server is up.....there is your answer..........

If you are running a dedicated server from the computer you do other things from, you will lag.

Lag won't happen if your computer is in the upper side of good quality.. and your CPU doesn't get to over worked......

If your connection upload is not enough, it will run fine with only a few people in the server, but as soon as one to many enters, it will lag to a standstill.....

What is his connection speed (Upload/download)

I am having the same problem. I have AOl, highspeed dsl, im on a wireless router...What can I do to fix this problem? I read what you guys posted and none of that could of helped me. Ant more ideas?

stop asking the same questions. mastercheif, i see two problems with you. AOL and wireless. wireless net connections are crap for gaming, and AOL is not a very good ISP. and highspeed dsl dosnt mean anything. that dosnt tell us your speed
