Well I gave it the old college try hosting on CE. Everything would be going fine and then my modem would lock up. Pings would go thru the roof and it was Lag City. I then would have to reset the modem.
Oh well! It was worth a try.....

That's too bad Skel. It might have been fun for something new.

That's too bad Skel. It might have been fun for something new. I'm not really sure whats going on here. CE is suppose to be better netcode and less lag. The key here is the modem lock up. It's happened a few times on the regular server, but not everytime like CE. Sad too! CE community is hungry for some good servers with good maps. It would have been fun to mix it up for a day! H2_Warlock is a rush with rockets....hint, hint CE hosts.

no way hosay. halo ce is very jumpy. well, i supose there would be less lag but ce uses more of peoples system resources like ram and cpu so this slows down their computer which cause it to run slower.
and gearbox software did put it together in about 5 mins once they finished converting halo to pc. :S

Even though I enjoy playing the different maps and stuff, it has caused me pain trying to run a server there. On regular Halo, I can do 6 players with little lag and no problems, but CE only 4 players, maybe! CE was an awesome idea, but without updates and support, Well.....sad to say, it will soon only be a memory!
