I don't know ANYTHING about creating maps for halo.. But I'm creating one anyhow lol... Its going to be the perfect map for the SDTM. Anybody who wants to help me make the map is welcome to. Please PM me if your interested. Right now I'll just give out a couple features that should be included in the map.. [/u] [li] 2 seperate islands (a bridge conecting them) [/li][li] A river under the bridge [/li][li] 2-3 level bunkers at begginging and end of river [/li][li] Ramps on each side of the bridge, so that you can attempt to jump accross to the other side [/li][li] Sweet sniping spots, including tall rocks and sniping towers [/li][li] A base in the center of the map containing ammo and stuff and a sniping tower [/li][/ul] Sound cool? You should see the picture I have painted of it in my mind! There might also be some secret places.. but its a secret so i wont tell you. Also, if you just want to give ideas about the map or something... feel free to!

if i where you i wouldnt bother then.
before you go straight into halo ce maps your gonna have to pick up the basics, first of all mod normal halo pc maps this will help you learn to understand all the different tags
secondly get a 3d modelling program and start making basic models because youll need some skills to make the maps
and then when you do finally get into making a halo ce map youll have to learn how to use HEK. which is like hell with pointy things sticking out.
you probably wont have to do all of this if you get a group of people but you will have to do something other than come up with the idea. there are a hell of alot of things to do if you wanna make it completly custom bsp modelling scenery modelling biped modelling weapon modelling tag creation tag editing skinning texture mapping item placment and still lots more
anywho, IF you recruit someone who can convert everything into halo (use HEK) then maybe i could help with some scenery modelling or some skinning

lol, good advice ---------- I've got 3D Studio Max.. but the only buttons I can find on it are the custom made stuff .. I'll just have to get some tutorials and stuff. (I also have maya... but thats hell to learn how to use) About the weapon modelling... are you talking about creating my own weapons?

you dont have to make your own weapons or scenry or bipeds or vehicles but it makes the mod better if you do

This seems like it would be a small map but I dont know for sure. And if you create you own weapons, they should be all like super-cool looking versions of the sniper rifle and the pistol. They could be like different colors and stuff.

actually.. it would be a big map I've got a design for one of the vehicles made.. and i'll add some more sometime.. yes, i know.. thats why i BELIVE i said i would delete it hwne there were some replies... the only reason it was there is because when you modify a topic it doesn't say that it is new.. so i posted and then when somenoe replied i closed it... read closly before you go and complain.
