Well, this is the end. So I figured since we have a day left, let's make some fun out of this sad and tragic ending to the SDTM forums.

You have by now noticed the thread title, SDTM has made me.... I want you guys to post what SDTM has done to your lives.

SDTM has made me:

• Wiser
  
• Smarter
  
• A better gamer
  
• Less up-tight (more relaxed)
  
• Nicer
  
• Get in trouble on several occasions
  
  • Calling my teacher a noob and saying "I will pwn you"
    
  • 3 day in-school-suspension for threatening someone using 1337
    
  • 30 minute after-school detention for writing "SDTM ownz yo ass" on the cover of my notebook
    
  • Grounded for cursing too loudly after losing a game by 3 kills.
    
  
  
• Realize that friends come in every shape, size, color, and religion
  
• Get closer to overcoming my Social Phobia (google it). SDTM is a completely different life for me.
  

As one of the last things you will hear me say on the SDTM forums..
Call me gay, queer, homo, whatever you want. But I seriously love you all, and I hope you choose to do something amazing with your lives.

Thats what SDTM has made me. What has SDTM made you?

Since meeting up with Skelito in his earliest version of his server and mods, I have changed heaps.

I have learned lots of valuable lessons, skills and lots of ways of expressing irritation when the excrement hits the fan.

I suppose the biggest thing I learned has actually improved my relationship with my kids and my gorgeous partner. I learned diplomacy and patience. As lots of you can probably recall, I have really tried to be fair, honest and up-front. There have been lots of occasions where I have borderline lost it, but after a stepping back and rethinking my take on a situation, I found other ways to handle stuff.

I have often been accused of dastardly deeds, and all accusations were made by people that had been cautioned, warned and subsequently banned. These people had words in the ears of sympathetic friends, and these friends carried out further accusations, based on stuff they really didn't know much about.


...You know, all I ever did was to do my job, and do it in the best way I could. I learned that every person on the planet can see a situation in different ways, and that one persons good deed is another persons breaking point.



Most of you guys have been awesome fun to hang with, here and in the servers, and I have seen a whole lot of young, over zealous and energetic people grow and turn into great, witty, friendly and compassionate people.

For me, the SDTM has been a source of great relief from the grind of day to day life, and has provided a huge distraction from the rubbish that stresses me daily.


Thanks for being such awesome and entertaining friends.

There is a bunch of guys that deserve a bigger praise than the rest, and that is the forum staff and server RCON "Ninjas", who worked tirelessly to keep the whole she-bang running. You guys all know who you all are (due to the Ninja code of conduct; Sub Section 145, Paragraph 14B, lines 123-125, names cannot be revealed), I thank you for being so very supportive of me, and doing such a great job in the forum and server.

Last but by no means the least.....Skelito

Well no words can aptly describe this mysterious dude's efforts. You created the SDTM mod out of sheer boredom after your life took a nose dive (literally folks), and were not able to go to work for a long time. Skelito......Thank you for everything. You have provided more people than we will really ever know, with a fun, friendly and often challenging place to hang out and blast the cyber snot out of anyone or anything that moved.......
