Well guys, it's been fun! I've taken two vacations from the site so far, and came back both times to find people asking if i'd died, so this time I'll spare you all the drama, hehe.
H2 isn't coming to the Mac, I've given up on those hopes. Bungie got worked over as much as the Mac users did when they sold out, and I'm NOT going to purchase Vista to run a game that was released years ago. I would've paid the $60 for H2, and another $60 for H3, but short of buying a console there's not much I can do about it, so I just shrug my shoulders. Besides, H1 was a classic, so I'll be happy just having played it alone.
As many of you know, I'm neck-deep in World of Warcraft. Daaaang but that thing's addictive. I'm a lvl 55 (out of 70) rogue on a server entitled "Quel'dorei". I'm a guild-master, meaning that I run a crew of about 50 people, all higher-levels, so if any of you ever get into the game (now or in the future), you've got a place to come to. We've got a cool crew (much as Skelito does here), no kiddie drama, and best of all you don't have to worry about hackers, cuz the game is contantly updated to keep them out. My name in the server is obvious (Hood), so even if you just do the 7-day trial you can hang with me for a while and I can show you some of the world...
Soon, of course, Starcraft 2 is coming out (for mac and pc both, naturally) and whether i'm sick of WOW at the time or not, I'll be neck-deep in that for who knows how long, haha.
And because of these two games alone it doesn't look like I'll be playing Halo again anytime soon. Sure, i might fire it up occasionally and go a round or two, but nowhere near as much as I should. I know I haven't played more than 3 games in the past 6 months, but I knew I owed it to you guys to give an official 'farewell', both to the game and to the forum!
It's been a whole LOT of fun, and we've had some wild times. The tutorial was a blast, and anytime I come across another song that I love i'm tempted to make some kind of game vid to go with it, hehe.
I wish i could still offer some kind of support, but at least I can say if you ever join me on WOW I'll cover your back! I'm not the *cough* "legend" in WOW that I was in Halo, but I brought some of the tricks I learned to that game. Whereas many players attack another force head-on, I like to play smarter: I'll have a lower-level-player stand in an area as bait, and have a few higher-levels cloaked hiding around him. As soon as a few of them take the bait we waste them in a matter of seconds, then relocate before they call out their buddies... great fun to watch!
And so I bid you all farewell, and salute all of you who are keeping the fun alive on Skel's servers! Take care, men, and I hope to fight beside you on the battlefield once again!
