You need it bad lol. ill do it in the next half hour. and ill resend it to some1 else as well. as he ahd problems un-stuffing it. frack! i had a confrentation last nite with my dad, i was in the middle of replying about the PPF stuff n he bloody pulled the damn plug the little poop! then i peeved off to my mums for the nite. now i am back at dads.

With these programs skel it asks you for a patch and thats the only thing i dont know what to put in it. I have been looking around the web at forums and other places trying to get hints what the hell i put in that section. I have a friend that might be able to help me. but i just have to wait until he gets his ass online so i can talk to him Ill Be Back!!!

The patch is the PPF file you create with the program. All it is, is the difference between the original and the modded map. I use ppfstudio to create these files.

Try the PPF master program to see if this will create a patch.

Ahhh, i thnk i get it now. so basically if you have an unmodded map (on a mac) and they want the mod. i could give them the patch, and that then would make it modded, by patching it?? The best explanation iv had yet! now i just need to make it work!!!

I have tryed every possible combination with the settings to make a patch, i go to save it, but it doesnt save and says "status: failed"

I have solved the problem!!!!!!!!! well not actually me, but the guy i talked to. wont go into the details of what i was doing wrong. but it worked. its only 4 Kb so it wont take to long to download. anyway, now i think you wanted me to send it to you Skel, so thats what ill do. Enjoy!

I keep on thinking of things to write down, if your plan works you wont need to tell me this, but if it doesnt, one guy in your server said my modd sucked because the pistols didnt have 8x zoom. could you possibly give me some instructions on how to do this if the plan doesnt go to plan.

Something like a day later...

DOH i patched my last original file, so i guess i might have to just reinstill halo to get another copy. Anyway. You Should be posting in here Skelito! Well i have recieved your file, with a little trouble. it was called "bg.ppf.txt" lol but it still worked (patching) now i just have to wait till my Fasher (father) gets off the other computer with halo on it so i can try it out and see if it works! Im pretty excited. I dont even know what you did but ill just have to find out!

anyway, i am finally on the computer, so i am off to see if it works. I had trouble patching it with O-Matic, so i just used Master. brb!

DOH! the whole HALO application quit. it does that when it doesnt like the map!.....Oh nooooo my life nearly Shattered NOW! !!!!!

O-Matic didnt work, the application O-Matic quit when ever i went to select the second thing, select Image first then patch, it quit. selected patch, then image, it quit...?

Hey Samuel,
PPF-O-Matic only does that if you do more than one patch per opening of the application. It did that for me so I just did one at a time. Try restarting your mac then applying the patch. PPF-O-Matic is alot easier to use than PPF Master. If you have any other problems just PM me.

That doesnt seem to be it. i just got on the computer then (it was shut down) read this, then went to try it. and it did the exact same thing. How is it easyer? Master has its own area for applying patches, so if it doesnt matter which program i use to apply the patch with, then ill just use Master.

Nice work Skel! you were right about macs not like meta swapping (i think thats what you said) the one with meta swapping didnt work, but the second one with out it WORKED!!! Got the extra sniper rounds, 8x zoom with the pistol! Exciting!!!!!! now we just have to put teles in! if its possible!!!!!! TOTALLY EXCITED!. do you think we should do the same with the other maps that are played in your server?

Ok, we now know that meta swapping is out! You will have to do it just like I wrote you. Swap those 3 things and we have a start.

That ppf includes almost all the variable changes to the map. As far a portals and stuff, PC servers will supply that.

But but but.....is there any possible way of putting teles on a mac do you think? THAT WOULD BE TOTALLY MAD! i am going to host it now, see what people think.

I was jsut in your server skel in BG and i was shooting nc]Trooper with a pistol and he wouldnt die, i shot 2 rounds at him. i am trying to get back to BG and try it again with the pistol and see if they die this time.

Seems to be doing it now. but with like a number of shot needed to be taken with 8x on. and seems fine with 2x

I have encountered another problem. i cannot see the opposition when i am on normal view or 2x scope, i can only see them on 8x (when they are far away) when they are closer i cant see then on normal, but i can with 2x and 8x( i dont think it did that the first time i went into your server Skel. but ill have to try it again tommorw and see if it does the same thing. i tryed changing my video settings but it did very little. here are some snap shots of the problem, i would have done alive players but they were allways moving around. I know there are many mac fans out there that would like it and dont even know about it. but i think they can wait a couple of days till we have got a rap on this problem!

As far as the pistol goes, there is no splash damage that come with it. Try shooting someone standing still with a steady hand. ;D

Now the zoom thing is weird. Never ran into that problem before. I just checked all the settings, and they are fine. What I would do is check to see if it does this without the mod. Just want to make sure it's not a Mac glitch!

First we need to figure out what is causing the problem before we can fix it!

I was testing it again and it seemed totally fine. but it was rather anoying beasue i can tell anyone what to do, they wont listen
