exception error....what causes it? its happened to a few of us , just as we are racking up a good score there it comes "exception error" bugger me what causes it?  any idea? |

I'm not really sure what is causing this. I do know that it bites the big one and I will be looking into it. It seems to happen early in the morning (Calif time) and when scores are over 800 kills. Aftershock managed to get over 1000 kills on this version of the map. (other then his 1504) This is a weird one and will be doing some research on it.
NOTE: Take alot of screenshots when your kills are up that high.

 ....WTF!! arrrggg!!! @%&@#*#*&*@ what is the deal with these exception errors??? I was near 700 and working my way to 1000 or more when a f.....g exception error came up and booted me out!!! Don't understand...it's almost as if there was a hack to prevent high scores. Tsunami, I have spent some time trying to find the answer to this error problem. Unfortunately without luck. The one thing that does come to mind is the v1.07 update. If I'm not mistaken here, Aftershock got his score on v1.05. If anyone is getting these errors, please report it here. Try to give as much detail as possible...Thx! |

Well mostly for Blade and me it happens around 500 to 600 kills. It changes every time when it happens. Sometimes it comes early and sometimes it comes late. But when it does come up, once it finishes doing what it is doing it wont allow Blade and I to go onto halo for a while. It happened yesterday when Tsunami was trying to get the record, First to Blade then to Tsunami. They were trying to go for the high score and they got it snatched out of their hands. What luck.

Ok guys, I'm trying something here. Awhile back I had speeded up the bullet on the sniper. I found out it was better at the slower setting and switched back. The problem is....the map got release with the faster bullet.
Instead of everyone having to re-download the mod, I put the settings back to the faster bullet to see if it helps out. Hey, if this works, I've learned something. If it doesn't, my next move is to downgrade the server software back to v1.06.
Please report these exception errors here! Any details before you got the error would also help. What weap you were using? Were you driving a vehicle...etc.

well i have the brilliant answer for this,i think it might be the v7.1 as i never got it installed and NEVER EVER FOR NEVER EVER EVER(lol!!)had an ecextion error.
§kelito©,i think you should bring it back to v7.1
im sorry for all you people with the high smoke prob but with v7.1...u might have this forever and ever

(=bren=), this was happening in some of the earlier versions also. BG is so heavily modified, these errors are bound to happen. Version 7.1 is so much smoother because it helps with the Frame rate from going down on close battles.
When something in the game happens, that your computer doesn't know how to handle, you get an exception error.

i think i found the problem. according to gamespy your server is running on halo version 1.06, but 1.07 is the newest, this could casue some problems for people using the newest version

V1.07 could have been the problem. Doesn't seem to be many reports after I switched back. Exception Error reports started when I upgraded. Has anyone been getting these Errors lately?? |

I also get a problem if I hit the refresh list button.......The lobby either freezes or only loads 1 page of servers before locking the whole shebang up!!  |

Guys this is Gamespy stuff and has nothing to do with Exception Errors. I'm interested to see if players are still getting these errors so I can try to hunt it down.
Maybe you should start up a NEW thread in the help section about this. It might help other players.

I haven't had an exception area for a long time, but I've been more focussed on capping than on killing lately.
