Well, as the title suggests, I am now making mods that are as good as anyone's who have been modding for months! (i'm a fast learner ;D ) So... I'd appreciate some requests to keep me busy!




P.S. I have already made an exact SDTM replica. Hehe. ;D

So you'd like something challenging that would keep you busy...

Well, here are a few mods that I have allready made but I think you might find challenging and time consuming.
1) PMI the wraith into Bloodgulch
2) Make the Assault Riflle shoot 3 round bursts
3) Make the Rockets Homing
4) Make the frag grenades blow up on contact
5) re-model the sniper riflle to get rid of the stationary stands
6) find some cool looking rims and inject the skin onto the warthog tire dds files
7) Make the plasma grenades explode a different color (purple)

and here are some easier ones
1) Disable the overheating on all plasma weapons
2) Create a portal loop to keep the mc suspended in mid air
3) Make the covenant gun turetts look like they are shooting laser beams instead of plasma bolts.

Then to prove that you accomplished these tasks, post the methods here and provide proof (mod download, screenshot).
Then we will see if you are as good as someone that has been doing it for months! But you have to make your own unique mods, not download someone elses!

Heh... those are pretty tough...

I've spent some time with the modding programs (though not intensively) and I know my way around them... but not that well. I could probably do about 4 or 5 of the 10 listed...

But you do need plugins for the covvie weapons overheat, right?

Phenom's 60 plugin pack for HMT 3.5 will suffice.

I saw the screenshots of your last one and it looked interesting. Unless you already knew how Skelito made his mods you could not have made an original.

I advise you to check out the links in squirrels post, as they are very useful. And you may or may have not said this, but what are you running on? Mac or XP?
What I tend to do is find a mod with an effect I'd like to know how to manipulate, and download it. Going through the tags, I look for something that might pertain to that particular attribute, and see how it is different from the original map.

Keep studying tutorials and making new mods; the lifeless gulch was pretty tight! Visual effects would be one of the next steps.

Ok, wow. That was a long list of links! Thanks a lot and that must've taken a really long time to do, but I hate to tell ya i'm stuck on a Mac But I may be getting an XP laptop soon...

Ok PvtPwn, I've got another one for ya!

Make the plasma grenade bounce like a never ending bouncey ball!
The idea is to be able to get the plasma grenade to bounce without exploding so that you can set a trap through a corridor or something.

I skinned them like u said and they actually work with the motion of the wheel (they don't look the same when spinning, they are blurred like real tires ;D )

And I'll try to make some more of the mods on the list ASAP!

Right on man! But you might want to blacken those tires. If you are using Photoshop just use the desaturate color tool, then use the curves tool to get it as dark as you want.

Nice job. Interesting looking rims. You can also mess with the various light and shader tags to give the rims and hogs more shine.

I'd like to see what kind of Hog-skins you can come up with too.

Ok, you said interesting, so i'm putting together a completely random hog skin with just phycadelic stuff and... well is random! Lol. It'll look cool, but be stupid at the same time!

EDIT: I have done the impossible. I have made the plasma rifle not overheat... not to hard right? Well, it is if you don't have Phenom's 60 plugin pack for it!! So, here are a few pics. But, if you don't believe me i'll send you a video of me making the mod to prove it. But, I hope ur just gonna take my word for it, because these .jpg's don't show MUCH... should be enough though. Just look at the battery supply and then the thing that shows how much heat ur weapon has. It should tell ya enough. (btw, they're links so that no one who had 56k would roll over dead! Though they might if they click on the link, lol):
