Ok, i found this out a long time ago and got an awesome ratio with it on BG and on Ice Fields. what i did is...
i snuck around to their base and found a good comfy spot to totally anihilate and move freely. then i pulled out my pistol and just shot away at them, some people thought i was hacking cuz they saw no sniper trail but then they finally figured it out lol. the pistol is a powerful stratagy and i strongly recommend its use.
Off Topic: yay the big 150 post sweetness.

Good point, not too many use this strategy, and I don't think we've ever documented where/how to use it. One HUGE reminder for those planning on trying this is this: RESIST THE URGE TO GET GREEDY!That's right, if you find your perfect spot and just sit there, picking away at them, you'll survive there 20x longer than if you shot at every person you see. Take a few of them out, then stay hidden and hold your fire for maybe 10-20 seconds (depending on how suspicious they are). If you ever see anyone looking around trying to locate you, drop back immediately and give them a few seconds until someone else kills them, so that they stop looking, then resume. One nice area, on BG, is to squat behind the rock behind red base (at the base of their hill). Don't stick your head up so that you can see their base, rather, keep back and low, looking over at the dark area, or the ridge. Also, remember than people will be spawning above you. Most often they won't look down, so as soon as you hear/see them up there, a well-placed nade will take care of them without revealing your position. If you're having a hard time hitting certain enemies that are too far away, resist the urge to use your rifle unless you are SURE that the entire enemy team is facing away from where you are about to shoot. Getting up top on BG is another perfect place to use this strategy, although your range is far more limited. Behind blue's base, in their crevice or way back in the corner is another excellent place, although you're directly exposed if anyone does go looking for you. If you can play it cool, blue's own crows nest is another good place to hide, on the opposite side from where they spawn. No one will likely ever see you up there, but anyone spawning up there will surely hear you if you fire too often. Anyplace will do, actually, but darker areas do tend to show your muzzle flash more. Keep this in mind - you never want to be shooting when one of their team is looking your direction, the flash will give you away (depending on their graphics card). Places like cave entrances show your flash the most (since it lights up that whole area), so those aren't the best places. My personal favorite: Be red, and squat on the ledge outside blue's cave. Stay far enough away from the cave to snipe anyone that emerges from it, but close enough so that you can hear their footsteps if they're in the cave. Enemies emerging from their teleporter, and enemies climbing up onto the hill will be your most common prey, and as long as you're squatted they rarely see you. As for Ice Fields, take your pick - there are hundreds of places to hide with a pistol. The bad news is that unless you're up top (where your range is really limited), you rarely have a clear view of a large area. So try to pick some area where enemies will pass by not TOO often, but often enough...

RESIST THE URGE TO GET GREEDY! Perish the thought. Quantity! I want huge kill counts! Considering how many times you'll kill me in a given minute, listening to YOU say don't get greedy is kind of like listening to a big huge Fatty McFat Fat tell me not to have too much dressing on my salad. Good tips otherwise though.. Always an educational thread from the Hood. Werd.

Good strategy, but ive seen it before. But one other thing.. The word Pawn.. is not how you spell it, its pwn, as in Own. Originally dates back to the days of WarCraft, when a map designer mispelled "Own" as "Pwn". What was originally supose to be "player has been owned." was "player has been pwned".
Pwn eventually grew from there and is now used throughout the online world, especially in online games.Point is, thats is annoying when people say Pawn, instead of PWN or OWN. Back On subject

That is a good way which I also use I also use the spot where red can't see blue which is next to their little rock portal I would explain more but if you play me you will find out my hiding spot

The pistol approach is always good...
But I much prefer a move with the banshee (another AOF has picked up) where you fly up around the blue-base wall (by the center hill) and eject yourself about halfway up.... makes for an almost impossible-to-hit player.

Yes, I love that move, and thank you shady. I get a lot of WTF form players. HEHE.

Yeh OLD FART and hes friggin pistol camping. I myself fall a innocent victim to this but I find lots of ways to find him and sneak up behind him. cough* I think nc]Slngshot knows the experience very well ay Sling, Beaver Creek, Bloodgulch, Timberland wat next.
Yeh well that strategy is very good within long quarters and point blank accuracy. Just dont do it within 3 metres or a enemy up the top of the hill side strafing like a crab.
The only way to counter this move is look at the alert arrows at the sides on screen where the shot is coming from. If your lucky you could turn quickly and hoot him down with the SDTM projectile or spawn back and do the buisness.
1 thing I have exsperience doing is camping around a base with 4 ppl and just pistols. IM TELLIN U IT WILL TELL U THE MEANING OF WTFHAXORNUB
