I am feeling some some anxiety about posting my retort, but as my credibility as to the appropriateness of my posts as a forum member is being called into question, I feel that I have no choice.

My response is thus: Just because one finishes up a post with a statement that may or may not correct the course of the topic of the given thread, does not call attention away from the fact that it has been diverted from its natural course from what has been written at the beginning of such post.

As always, I extend the same invitation to you, Griffin as I extended to Bren, I am available at your convenience to dicsuss the matter further, hopefully in a more appropriate location and / or thread. (Or maybe, you can just get off your a$$ and talk to me over top of the cubicle wall).

I'd like to, however take this opportunity to point out that my post was DIRECTLY related to statements made in your post, and therefore, I stingently deny any culpability related to the issue of being off topic.

As for me, I love it when i'm on blue and the reds are using the top porter. First I kill the guys up top, then I let them keep their hog there and try to get up again. As soon as they port up, BAM. Then the next one... BAM. They thus get a full dosage of what they're trying to give out. As soon as they start wising up I port to the center and get them at the hog, ENDLESS fun.

If the porter is on, don't mindlessly run around getting killed. When you spawn indoors or by the back door, make your FIRST priority peeking around and shooting up top. If you spawn by the cave, walk out to center hill and (while looking up) back up till you can see them, then #bash# them... how easy is that?

got a story from one of the other sdt servers, a member of the oppsoite team,used the portal, went up and then said he was going afk, i promply went up, stood behind him and waited for him to come back, when he did, i seen him move, i gun-butted him til he was very dead ;D

ok hey i know bout the teles in the bases and the rock by the cave but can anyone tel me of anyothers cuz i dont have time to look around all that happens is that i get blown the hell up and shot half way across the map before i can take a step...pretty hecktic in there

I find the rock portal being disabled on your server a good idea because if you keep spawning other peoples bases they never get a chance to hit you back.

The only thing that gets annoying is when people on a modded server say "I'm BEING HACKED OMG' and all that stuff they should read the name of the server before they come in Snipers Dream Team *Mod*8 (Skelito.com)

Skelito, could you change the portal spawn to land directly on top of the invisibility pickup instead? That way the rock portal would still have a purpose. Right now you pop up about 20 feet away from it, directly out in the open.

I think that having it drop right on top of the invisibility pickup would be perfect.

Also, regarding the rock portal, it seems to give red team a distinct advantage. I wonder if you might think about adding another portal similar to this one that would be more accessible to blue team.

Having the portal dropping you onto thew invisi pickup is not a good idea.....Going to all that trouble to get into the rock portal, only to get dropped a little bit further ahead....not practical and not worth the effort to get to the portal in the first place.


It's better that the portal is permanantly off.....too much abuse is thrown around when people get up top, and new players to the server get spawned too much, not being able to find the source of the pain....

Also it makes the game a little one sided as only the red team has a good shot at getting to the portal without getting killed!
