Uh... I've started to set up my pc for a dedicated server (this can be done right?  ) and I'm having problems.. I've switched my networking ports to 2301/2304(doesn't make sense to do that..) but i still dont see my server. For a small test, this is my init.txt file: sv_name uze_test1 sv_public True sv_maxplayers 10 sv_mapcycle_timeout 15 sv_mapcycle_add bloodgulch ctf sv_mapcycle_begin Is there something I'm missing or am I just not doing it right? Do I need to get some sort of patch or something? EDIT: Ohhh.. I had to update it Now I've got another question... How do I get the name to work? Cus in the cmd console thing you cant use spaces, only _ and when in the map i type rcon password sv_name Snipers Dream Team Mod7.1 {Uze} and it wont accept it.. EDIT AGAIN: ooo.. you put it in ""... |

sv_name "Snipers Dream Team Mod7.1 {Uze}"
You have to put the name between "" like above!

and just a suggestion change your map time out to maybe like 5 because 15 is way too long.

i dunno.. seems like 15 seconds
i'll just set it to 1 in my init file so that when i shut down my serve and put it back up it will be a short while.

i swear to god there was a post by Monkey, a guest... anyhow he asked why my timeout was 15... thats why my reply seems like just out by itself.. sorry you thought i double posted at first  i'll sort it dont worry.. EDIT: erm.. could you please delte GAMEchief's post...i think he is the forum noob... i really dont think i'm better than anybody.. and i dont want to start a war.. actually, maybe this thread should just be locked. |

This double post issue is probably my bad. When a member deletes their account, I delete their old posts. I try to make sure it doesn't look like someone is double posting, but I screw up sometimes.

That's funny. You can't retaliate, so you say I'm the newb. I made a viable point. He said not to double post, and you tried to make him look inferior by trying to make it look like you know what you're talking about, when it could have easily been a mistake by him misreading something.
