What it's like... Now

Skel emailed me the other day to bring me up to speed, and wanted to say it was a fun ride everybody. Of course, I'm neck-deep in WoW and eagerly awaiting Starcraft 2, and it'll be a cold day down under when I buy a vista machine just to play halo, but I'm glad some of you are carrying the torch...

As for me, I may show my face someday, but more likely than not WoW won't let me out that long. Just for you guys, I created a "What It's Like to be Me... Now" video - enjoy!

You have certainly been busy. Some of these Mobs you were seen to be killing are raid mobs right?

In saying that you don't get much time out of WoW, are you meaning that the guild as to which you belong is doing raid type stuff (and possibly PvP stuff) around the clock?

Nice to see your having fun on wow. I played it for a while but it got boring at level 70 cus im not really into raiding n whatnot, i just liked doing quests solo and a bit of AV sometimes.

Also... you're alliance!! And you're killing my beloved horde! i used to think you were cool, but now...

And @ sling, no raid stuff there from what i saw. Mostly pvping in alterac valley and horde cities along with a few elite mobs.

Okay, in response, and kind-of in order:

I'm the guild master, but we don't run a lot of instances or raids all the time. I like to solo-raid Orgrimmar for hours on end and see how many horde i can gank before i get greedy and a roof troll eats me. But it's time consuming because between the daily rep quests, the daily battleground, and just goofing around slaying hordies I don't have much time for anything else (like halo).

As for me being Alliance, I can attest to the fact that we get many more of the first-timers on our team, so raiding and battlegrounds are a much greater challenge. But you know me - I wouldn't have it any other way. That makes the victories all the more sweeter

While raiding one of the major cities I pretty much gank anybody I think i can take and still survive. I got a wounded 70 right outside of the auction house (that'll teach him to run around flagged without healing). I can single-shot pretty much anything up to a 50, and just a few shots for anything up to 60. Above that and I risk staying visible long enough to draw a crowd (never a good thing in a major city) or a few guards. But you know me, i gotta try at least

I knew the vid wouldn't be as nice as my older ones, because frankly it's hard to get excited about slaying mobs, and even harder to make a vid that would show (clearly) a raid battle. In Halo everything's clearer because it's first-person. In WoW you have to play 3rd-person because enemies are all around you, and that forces me to keep the camera farther away so i can see better, which makes my character tiny on the screen when filming. So, basically, I knew all the best stuff wouldn't look very clear at all, and you'd have a very hard time appreciating the depth of the battle.

I'm not one of those hard-core players that has to have the greatest gear possible, I just want fun... and you hordies make such excellent targets...

As for emails... I never check mine any more, i'm afraid. WoW takes all my time

As for one shotting level 50's, that isn't a really huge achievement, considering your class.

Ive just renewed my WoW account ¬_¬

Maybe ill make a video one day. I got some pretty good techniquies in alterac valley i could record. Even though im a hunter i almost always manage to sneak behind the alliance right at the beginning of the game (even the elites guarding dun baldar) all ninja like and take one of the bunkers in dun baldar without them noticing. Its harder to get the second one though when a massive group of them come back to see whats going on and find me all on my own :S

EDIT: wtf have they dont to AV since ive been gone!

Half the elites are gone! and the ones that are left are just pathetic...
