Okay, spent a few hours and spit out this video for you pulters. Note: this isn't a 'how-to-hogapult' video, nor does it deal at ALL with standard hogapults or Skelito's signature 'ultimate hogapults.' Rather, it centers around controlled hogapulting. BE WARNED: This video will make you dizzy, perhaps nauseous (well, i hear my other videos did the same).I don't explain anything at all. Rather I show you what you should be trying to acheive, and also show you a ton of different places you can do it. You'll need to watch it in slomo at least once to figure out where all you can launch from and where you'll land as a result. Oh and before somebody asks, the music is "Cold", by Crossfade. It's not for the feint of heart... 640x480 80mb version320x240 20mb version(right-click and save file to your desktop) (side note: this is the FIRST video I have ever turned out using my new machine, so it's your first taste of the quality you'll find in my future vids...)

Ah, that's because you're too quick for me. You were the only user online when I posted, and I hadn't quite finished uploading the larger version yet. You should have no troubles now, as it downloads fine for me. Everybody just make sure to right-click (option-click on mac) and save the file, rather than trying to watch it in the browser.

Arg... Hood - you gave away one of my secrets at the end... Don't go get the hog - bring the hog to you. When some of the new doodzies see this going on, they think I'm just shooting hogs, but - there is a purpose...

I take my hat off to you Hood, you spend way too much time doing this stuff..lol
I notice all the different ways you can get the hog to spin in the air....
Oh, and nailing the red base from each of the hoggapults.......nice work...

MOst of it I can only dream about No need to dream... control your hogapult using those angles and you've got it made! I died ONCE during the three hours it took me to collect that footage, and that was from that time I went flying up into sky. That's my point: do it right and it's safer than flying TWA. "Just gimme a rocket hog and a passenger and I'll land you square in the enemy's back yard." I did this mostly as a trial to see how the quality came out. The lower-quality 20mb version came out remarkably clearer than I had expected. One question: Would anyone want an 800x600 version of future videos, or is the 640x480 here more than big enough?

One question: Would anyone want an 800x600 version of future videos, or is the 640x480 here more than big enough?Bigger is always better. But not if it makes the file 100MB+. I just recently recorded a 4:00 video in 1024x768. After adding music and exporting it, it was 740x(something) and 60MB. I don't know what you edit your videos with, but it seems to save them in very high quality (or just really big).

I don't know what you edit your videos with, but it seems to save them in very high quality (or just really big). I use iMovie, and have quite a variety of encoding options. Through experience, I prefer to use Sorensen 3 encoding, and med-high quality. At med-high the file sizes tend to be a bit larger, but the quality is nice enough to watch full screen with little distortion...
